I don't know if this comment means I am part of this particular blog experience but I have yet to meet anyone in the UK who has heard of Bas Weejuns only last week I found a no. of them for the first time in TK Maxx - the European version of you TJ Maxx I believe. I have a collection opf 50's and 60's ties chiefly from the uS and wondered how widespread this has become? The interest in thins and skinnys perhaps as a result of the excellent Mad Men cult television series. I did point out to a footwear sales assistant how Weejuns had at last appeared on shelves and had she ever seen them. Her blank look was classic and sadly not unusual. I am approaching 60 yrs old and wore the shorter slim cut sports jacket, skinny tie and skinny houndstooth check trousers when a young teen. i'm glad to see suits in the mod/ Mad Men style and glad to see you like many younger Americans still retaining indeed rviving and enjoying what Gary Oldman recently described as he stepped out onto a warm L.A. street as a general lack of sartorial elegance. Glad to see it's alive and well on your side of the 'Pond ' I've always enjoyed the eclectc mix of old and new incl. authentic vintage - You have a real interesting blog - thanks, Alex Hannah
